chocolate chip cookie recipe:
Ingredients:
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and smooth (about 2-3 minutes).
4. Add vanilla and eggs: Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until fully combined.
6. Stir in chocolate chips: Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula or spoon.
7. Scoop dough: Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
8. Bake: Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the center is still soft.
9. Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
